This county has problems worth solving and people worth fighting for. That's why I'm running for the Appomattox County Board of Supervisors.
I make no claim to perfection, only to effort. Here's where that effort will be focused:
- 250 new housing units constructed by local builders, sold to young families and elderly fixed-income residents using a community development bank at below-market rates.
- An urgent care facility.
- Jobs. Good, meaningful, 'support-a-family' jobs. Incentivize filling empty buildings with 'new industrials' — things like robotic milling and CNC fabrication shops. We will work with CVCC and Carver-Price to use every square foot of the old elementary school for up-skilling not just young people — but also individuals who will lose their jobs due to automation and market headwinds.
- Construction of a reservoir, sewer plant, and landfill that are locally owned and operated. Each dollar invested and spent locally makes our community richer, stronger, and improves quality of life.
To accomplish any of the points above, we need a responsible, effective government run by individuals with urgency, competency, and crystal-clear transparency. I'm not here to govern like someone who has no one watching. I'm here to lead like someone whose daughter will one day ask why I voted the way I did — and I'll have an answer.
I am working to obtain signatures to qualify for the ballot for the November 4, 2025, election. I ask for your support.
